once i was stimming while walking home at night like just hand flapping nothing major and this lady came out of her house and threatened to call the police on me she thought i was a drug addict
This is why I can’t go outside alone.
I was 14 the first time a cop came up to me and without even asking or talking to me, pulled up my sleeves and looked for track marks. This was after a woman followed me around at slow speed in a car in my own neighborhood and called the cops on her cell phone because I didn’t “look right”.
Later, a doctor told my mother and me that it was “paranoia” that I wore a Medic-Alert bracelet to tell cops I’m autistic. Even after my mom told them what happens when I don’t wear a bracelet.
