Just another reminder that I am not offended by any reason that you might have for unfollowing me.

I also understand that some of my beliefs (and I’m talking about many, mostly unrelated things here) may appear too close to beliefs that have been used to do a lot of harm in the world.  If I’m right, it’s only that they appear that way, but there are important differences.  If I’m wrong, they really are going to do harm.  But I feel obligated to follow my beliefs to their conclusions, regardless, because I think they’re important, and they’re supported so far by what I’ve seen in the world.  I can’t claim to know with absolute certainty that I’m right about anything, but I still have to follow where my conscience tells me to go, even when it takes me to places that people really don’t like.

But nobody is obligated to read me, and nobody is obligated to agree with me.  And I would be really upset if people who did agree with me ganged up on people who unfollowed me because they disagreed with me or something.

And I will not take any unfollow personally.  Not unless someone deliberately makes it personal by sending me nastygrams or something – but then it’s not the unfollow I’d take personally, it’s the nastygrams.  I don’t even notice when people unfollow me, and barely notice when people follow me.  So don’t feel like you have to stick around to spare my feelings, especially if I’m triggering or offending you on a regular basis.
