In light of recent events I feel it is necessary to mention that solidarity is important, we need each other now more than ever, but please remember to take care of yourselves.
If calling out the ableism (or misogyny re: California, or antisemitism re: what happened in Brussels) could endanger you or contribute to your anxiety or harm you in any way please don’t feel like you have to.
Those of us who can will and those of us who can’t are no less important. If you can only do so sometimes that’s alright.
It isn’t wrong or cowardly not to stand up to people at times like this. If it’s something you can choose to do then you have my full support and my gratitude. If you can’t you still deserve respect and to be protected.
We’re in this together.
