Transcript:
My name is Meghan, I’m 24, I’m from St. Albans, Vermont, and… I’m living on my own 20-some-odd years, I’ve been like, fighting wit my parents.  I’m really close with my dad, but not close to my mom.  Because my mom thinks of me as a disability kid and not as a child.  So it kind of, like, tears me up inside.  And so I talked to my case manager back at home, and I’m like, “I have to get out, before I, like, go ballistic.”  And now I’m living in St. Albans.  And it’s closer to the city, because I’m more of a getting out and being active person, I guess.  And so I moved in August 2nd, and it was my 21st birthday, so yeah.  
“Great birthday present.”
Yeah, the best one ever!
“How did you find your new house, and what’s it like?  Tell us all about it.”
My house is like a double — it’s got an upstairs and a downstairs, I don’t know what to call it, like a ??? I guess, and I get the downstairs to myself; I’ve got a couch and then my bedroom, amazing.  I love teddy bears, and ??? but that’s another story.
So you share your house with someone else?
A family.  With four — no two kids and a foster kid, so it’s kind of different, but when I’m back at home, I miss them, or when I’m not with them, I miss them, when I’m here, I miss them, so I kind of like, have a second family, I guess.
“It’s like you have your own space but you also —“
Yeah I can be with the family when I want to be and I can be alone when I want to be.  The only downfall to living out of my parents’ house is no cell phone service there.  So I can’t talk to friends.  But it’s amazing.
“Now I hear that you have a special relationship.  Can you tell us about that?”
I have a special boyfriend.  Should I tell you his name?
“If you want to.”
Yes.  His name is Robert K.  We actually met through my ex-boyfriend, we were all hanging out at the mall, and his ex-girlfriend and my ex-boyfriend were dating, so they went off by themselves, and he’s like “So what do you want to do?” and I’m like “I don’t know.” So we went to Applebee’s, after ????, and he bought me lunch, and then by the end of the day we were dating.  YAY!
But yeah, it was.. weird.  Because I was with my ex-boyfirend and now I’m with a good guy.
“Well that sounds really great.  How long have you been dating and what kinds of things do you guys go out and do?”
We hang out, we go to the movies, we go to the mall, we’re both a big Red Sox fanatics, so next spring we’re going to the Boston Red Sox together, yeah!  I think he likes the Yankees, but he won’t tell me.
