Is “disableism” a preferred term/tag to “ableism” or does it matter? Is there a difference of definition or a common preference?

Disablism (spelled without the “e”) is usually used more in Britain.  Ableism is used more in America.  Other places, I’m not sure which one is used more.  Some people have tried to claim they mean different things, but it’s really more that they came from different places and different people have different preferences.  But they’re really basically interchangeable.  (The differences some people have tried to create, have not caught on in any big way.)

Some people have also tried to use the term ablism but that doesn’t seem to have caught on.
