Mitch McConnell (my senator) sent me a letter today, because I signed the #StopCombatingMe petition (which I totally forgot I did).
My mom opened it by mistake, she’s starting to suspicious about my online activity, because a human rights group also called for me today!
Anyway, I got an important business letter from a United States Senator! How many people can say that!

Years and years ago, back when the parents had first decided to march on Washington in the Hear Their Silence rally, which was as offensive as it sounded…
I sent a letter to my senator expressing my lack of support for the rally and explained why. It was a short, one-paragraph letter but it made very clear where I stood.
I got a letter back from my senator saying “Thank you for supporting the Hear Their Silence rally,” blah blah blah.
I was so furious.
