Does anyone know where to find this book?
It was written by a woman with a diagnosis of psychotic depression. I think it was written in, or set in, the fifties, sixties, or seventies. I found it in a library in 1995.
The book was divided into two sections: ”The Bad Hospital” and “The Good Hospital”.
I think the author got ECT at one point.
I can’t remember her name. I can’t remember the name of the book. And I can’t remember much about the book at all, other than the facts I’ve given above. I’ve asked around multiple times, I’ve been to libraries including the one I found it at (which said they must have purged it at some point), nobody has been able to give me any leads. Sometimes they’ll direct me to other books that are definitely not the same book.
Anyway, if anyone knows of it, or any details that could lead me to it, please let me know?
It wasn’t “You never promised me a rose garden” was it?
