epochryphal asked: Hi, I'm neutrois and autistic. Sorry you've encountered the truscum policing of the various tags. Just wanted to affirm that, actually, the "must have body dysphoria to be [any identity]" is simply policing, rather like the anti-self-diagnosis policing that goes on in disability tags. Neutrois gets confusing because it doubles as a neutral sex/body identity, but the gender identity has no body dysphoria requirement. (I wish we had an #actuallynonbinary tag. Genderless is an especially rough tag)

Ugh, yeah, I just wish people would mind their own business.  It’s hard enough to find that you’re out of the mold without people jumping out yelling “YOU JUST WANT THIS FOR ATTENTION YOU ASSHOLE!” or “YOU’RE NOT DOING YOUR OWN IDENTITY PROPERLY!”  Luckily I’m at a point in my life where I don’t feel like people like that can define my life, but I’d hate to be a trans or genderless teen coming up at the moment.  It’s just one more level of pointless pressure.  And you know there are people who are trying to force themselves into the mold, maybe even getting surgery they don’t want, just to prove they’re “real” enough, and that’s a byproduct of all the identity policing.
