Still annoyed that someone saw someone saying “I don’t have spoons to deal with trolls today” and IMMEDIATELY assumed it could not possibly be accurate
Physical spoons DO count when dealing with stressors
And mental illness, or cognitive disability, spoons SURE AS HELL count when dealing with stressors
Dealing with bullies is stressful and often triggering, so YES, that is an accurate use of the terminology, and it’s not something you would even be able to tell about another person
Fucking disability policing, I swear to god
Why are people suddenly exploding about the idea of spoons?
I’ve always found the ‘spoonie’ thing unsettling, but this is making it more unsettling to me.
Why is it that wherever I go, I’m seeing boundary policing, people trying to say who gets to say what, who has real what, who is fake what, whatever?
Why don’t people just shut up and mind their own business?
