zeezoutenijs:

(X) bodies is easily one of my least favourite phrases

Literally, is it possible to objectify a person more than to describe them as bodies? How is this SJ-approved language?

You mean like when people say “This is being done to disabled bodies” or “black bodies” or “trans bodies”?  For some reason it makes me feel weirdly objectified by people who can’t possibly be wanting to have that effect.  It’s not even that I think my body isn’t me.  It’s just when you describe me as a disabled body, then it feels like who I am isn’t involved in the equation at all.  Does this come from some kind of philosophical jargon?
