How I solve problems in dreams…

So I was dreaming that I was part of some dancing/acting troupe that had to be ready to perform at a wedding soon.  And early in the dream I knew my lines and everything, but later in the dream all this time had passed (years, maybe?) and I knew none of them, and suddenly it was the day of the wedding and I knew nothing.  So I told the head of the troupe.

And she basically said “What do you mean you don’t know your lines?  And I had such big things planned for you.  If you don’t know all your lines within the next twenty minutes, then everything I planned for you in the next few years is gone.”

Problem was, the script was up a long hill.  So I couldn’t run up there and get the lines and memorize them and come back in time, and nobody would lend me their script because they all knew their lines.  So first I tried magically trying to retrieve the script, but I got a bunch of other random objects instead.

Then I was like “Fuck this, it’s a dream, I’ll just wake up and I’ll be a lot happier.  It’s not like the script even exists, and it’s not like any of this even exists.”

So I woke up and indeed was quite happy.  And now I have a purring cat on my lap, too, which is even better.

if you were in control of the events the whole time, why didn’t you just decide to wake up earlier?

Well i am not an expert on lucid dreaming… well. that could have saved you a few moments of stress. though then there’s the possiblility you realized that on that very moment so that is actually justifiable

( feeling like this is the kind of post i should not really reply to )

I only realized it was a dream towards the end.  Which was very liberating and why I became quite happy.  I also wasn’t in control of all the events, or else the magic would’ve worked better.
