So as of this afternoon, I am officially homeless. I tried to come out of the closet as transgender, and my mom freaked and kicked me out.

I live in Michigan, about 30 minutes west of Detroit. I really need a place to stay and transportation to and from work (I work at my hometown McDonald’s). I…

For people not in Detroit who wish they could help, follow http://www.transhousingnetwork.com - trans people getting kicked out/fleeing abuse is not uncommon and shelters are not always an option because of either transphobia/transmisogyny on the part of the shelter itself or safety concerns.

OP: hope you find somewhere soon, but if you’re still looking, thn can list your info.
