Anonymous asked: Can you explain the glow you see around people? Can you ever see a glow coming from people on the internet or is it just in physical meeting people? Don't worry if it is not something you can put into words.

I associate colors with people, and sometimes shapes that go along with those colors.  It may be a synesthesia thing.  I get it both in person and sometimes over the Internet.

I call that shiny people.

Does anyone think I’m a shiny person?

It’s synaesthesia. Personality >colour. I have the same type.

Except that people don’t consistently have the same colors, patterns, shapes, textures, etc. associated with them.  

Also, I have a friend who has the same perceptions, and we always perceive the same colors, patterns, shapes, and textures, as each other, when we perceive the same people.  

Which should be impossible because synaesthesia is never the same person to person.  And my friend and I are both synaesthetes and our synaesthesia in other areas is different.  But in this area it’s always the same or so similar that it could almost be said to be the same.  

But I’ve always thought of it as either synaesthesia, or synaesthesia-like. It’s far more complicated than one person to one color, though.  It changes constantly, and it reflects actual information about the person.  I’ve always seen it as an extension of my sensory patterns, with possibly a layer of synaesthesia over it.  But if it’s synaesthesia, it doesn’t explain how two people could perceive identical things.  Whatever it is, it’s far more complicated than one personality -> one perception.
