➸ How Privileged Are You?

Check(list) your privilege.

No test is perfect, but I feel like this quiz covers a lot and might be a good starting point for discussion in some circles.  It definitely recognizes the way in which people can have privilege in some areas and lack it in others.  Have other people seen it?  What do you think?

I’m a little nervous about things like that.  I got 18 points out of 100 and it said I’m “under-privileged” but I’m not sure I actually learned anything from it, other than that there’s a lot of things I’d have put on the test that weren’t there.  (Some of which would’ve shown me as having more privilege, some less.)  I’ve always been a little leery of attempts to test how privileged you are anyway, especially since people get weirdly competitive about things like that.  In both directions – more privileged than thou, less privileged than thou, take your pick.  I also felt like it weighted some privileges more than others, and didn’t seem to understand how lack of privilege works in some areas and therefore just didn’t aask a lot of
