those cashiers that let you buy things when you’re missing a few cents deserve to live forever

Especially because they would have to be making up the difference out of their own pockets because retail places are ridiculously anal when it comes to cash drawer balances at the end of the shift. You can be fired for being off by two cents.

Yeah seriously.

Some places seem to have a little bucket for change that people use for that.  I try to dump some of my change into the bucket in case someone needs a few cents to make up the end of an order.
