Yes!! Before I actually brought my (then) little ones home, when they were still outside in the feral colony, they would gather around the food bowl and perk up and STARE if anyone walked by. Sometimes they would follow you with their eyes and Cora would open her mouth and do this tiny silent (but still scary!) hiss. Their mom was “serious business” personified so I am sure she taught them well (and early).
