What I wrote about the bullies earlier…
The bullying on the basis of LGBTQ status with me, was not a fluke.
One of them ended up getting thrown off a group blog after posting transphobic remarks to a teenage trans girl. I mean really awful, crude stuff. And then claiming that they were getting in the way of his ‘freedom of speech’. He began making threats of violence over the phone to the person who ran that group blog, until she didn’t feel remotely safe, but she had nowhere to turn.
Another of them has made repeated really nasty remarks towards a friend of mine whose autistic son is trans. He discovered it by going through old records and finding that at one point he was referred to as a daughter, and later as a son. (Which took some serious Internet-stalking to to, it wasn’t the sort of thing that was just readily available in a single blog or something.) And even since then he’s tossed out horrible remarks about “gender confusion” and stuff whenever he can.
So this isn’t just a one-off thing, this is a pattern with these people: They bully, and they bully on the basis of marginalized identities as much as they possibly can. (Except when they’re claiming to be more marginalized than thou, which they do constantly as well. They don’t see the contradiction.) And they seem to use LGBTQ, mental illness, fat, and ugliness, as their main reasons to target people.
