Solidarity with survivors of multiple traumas. 

Solidarity with unstable survivors. 

Solidarity with survivors of multiple kinds of abuse, over long periods of time. 

Solidarity with survivors with complex narratives. 

Solidarity with quiet survivors. 

Solidarity with survivors who can’t find their voice, survivors who can’t express themselves well or at all or in the ways that make other comfortable. 

Solidarity with ‘bad’ survivors, survivors who can’t set an example.

Yes to all of this.

But this post still kind of makes my skin crawl.

Because I know there will be those who reblog it to mean “The way I treat you is ok because I get triggered, and you should be ok with it because solidarity”

Yep I had the same feeling.

I reblogged it because I meant it but.

I’ve seen a similar post once that I would never have reblogged, because I was certain the person meant “Any way I act is okay because I’m a survivor, and being a survivor is messy, and that means I can do whatever the fuck I want to in the name of being a survivor.”
