lipstick-autistic:

Just remember you don’t need to be the super-genius graduate school stereotype autistic person in order to be worthwhile. No matter your education level, no matter your intelligence, you are still important. Just as you are.

I have to say – and it’s not the fault of anyone who’s a grad student – with all the autistic and disabled grad students I know, I feel really fucking inadequate that I couldn’t finish high school or college when I tried them, don’t have a job, can't do all this stuff.  But then I feel bad because I know how much the people in grad school are struggling just to be there.  And at the same time, I feel like they have something I don’t.  It’s all confusing.
