Ugh, no, it’s not ‘reacting positively’ to it that’s the problem, it’s thinking that just because someone’s affectedly bubbly and has cognitive issues that you can treat them like a pet instead of a person
It’s hard to say the things I mean to say right now, I’m hungry and tired
Being a pet instead of a person is so much exactly what I hate.
What makes it worse is I feel like it’s my fault for acting the way I do. But undoing years of social conditioning takes time and in the meanwhile people should KNOW not to treat other people like pets. :/
It’s not your fault.
