Anonymous asked: Is ADHD a developmental disability?

In some cases it’s described as a neurodevelopmental disability.  In terms of the law, it’s not usually considered a developmental disability, probably because they’ll say it’s psychiatric.  But I’m not the one who decides if you’re developmentally disabled, and I’m not the one who decides if you should post on #ActualyDD.  If you feel that ADHD makes you developmentally disabled, then that’s enough for you to post there.

Here’s a document arguing that ADHD does count as a developmental disability and should count as one under law:

I would tend to consider it one, but again, it’s your decision as to whether you feel like it is one, not mine.
