For my ongoing “this is what different levels of pain look like” thing… this is about a 7.  After getting a bunch of needles pushed into my face, and there’s now a bunch of medication in there pressing against the most sensitive nerve in my body.  The nurse said that side of my face looks swollen, too.  This was not the worst nerve block I’ve had but not the best either, and it always gets worse before it gets better. So I’m having loads of fun.   Especially since I had to fast, so now I’m chewing gum to try to feel better (while pumping food into my intestines at twice the normal rate to try to get my body to think it’s getting food again, as fast as possible), but chewing hurts like fuck, even when I only chew on the side that didn’t get the block.  (Chewing on the side that did get the block is horrific.)
