I’m saying that there are specific aspects of ableism (including comparing people to each other on the basis of abilities, and assigning values accordingly, as the main one, but there are others that I’m less able to put into words) that are entwined in the middle of all oppressions, somewhere. Not that drive all oppressions necessarily. But that, there’s these central aspects of oppression, and this is one strand, or one set of strands, of those central aspects of oppression. It’s not something I’m good at saying. But basically if you sift through any type of oppression, you will find ableist values somewhere in the middle. Not as the only thing in the middle, but as one strand of things, or one set of strands of things, that make up the middle.
