I wish people didn’t hate femininity so much
Femininity is really nice
it’s one of those words that means too many damn things
When I wrote that I was getting depressed about the fact I can’t express my interests openly in most places without people thinking of me as childish, gross, vapid, and “wrong”
Especially because I’m not thin or neurotypical, then me liking things like lolita fashion and MLP takes on additional negative connotations
And I’ve been watching a lot of media lately where the girly-girl characters always have Valley girl accents and never talk about anything other than hair or shoes, like they’re just pull-string dolls repeating stock phrases instead of being given human characterization, and sigh
