Write female autistics.
Write trans autistics.
Write racial minority autistics.
Write strong autistics.
Write elderly autistics.
Write able-passing autistics.
Write chatty autistics.
Write loving autistics.
Write hug-loving autistics.
Write sex-loving autistics.
Write autistic parents.
Write autistic friends, family members, even main characters.
Hell, even write an elderly, queer woc autistic who always talks about her bees and hugs her grandchildren with glee.
Just write anything but a cishet, middle class white boy whos “low functioning.”

Because we’re tired of it.

Or cis het middle class white boys where the author is trying to write from their POV and makes them as otherized and alienlike as possible and goes to extremes to show how they’re verbal and brilliant but have no emotional reactions and just respond with “cold logic” to murders and similar things and describe it in detached terms like a coroner.  And their family is being torn apart because their existence causes everyone so much pain but they can’t feel anything about that either so they not-angst over not being able to angst.  Could do without more of that too. :p
