notgonnabendoverandcurtseyforyou:
is this just my bubble of experience
or are those of us who experience very few (or no) meltdowns, and primarily get shutdown, burnout, et cetera,
more likely to either miss out on diagnosis (particularly as kids), or have psychology type people say “well im pretty sure youre autistic but an official diagnosis wont help you so i wont bother with that lol” (as was my experience)
than those of us who experience frequent and/or more noticable meltdowns?
because that seems like its the case to me? and i dont know whether its a good thing or a bad thing or both or neither
