Is dyspraxia what they call autism when they don’t think you suck at empathy? Or is it a different thing?

Dyspraxia is largely about having physical coordination problems.  Which sometimes go along with other things (including autism-related things), and sometimes don’t at all.

Compare it to apraxia.  Both are disturbances in movement, just different degrees and types.  "Praxis" is the whole process of voluntary movement and motor planning and things like that.  Usually a word with “a” on it means a total or near total lack of something, whereas a word with “dys” on it means having some degree of dysfunction in an area but not total lack.

Dyslexia is a set of learning disabilities that involve trouble reading.  Alexia is a total inability to read.

Dyspraxia is a set of learning disabilities involving physical movement and coordination.  Apraxia is a total or near-total ability to initiate and carry out certain kinds of voluntary movement.
