I could imagine slytherins and hufflepuffs being really good friends. I mean, hufflepuffs are just and loyal and they don’t judge people without getting to know them first. So imagine a third year hufflepuff walking down the hall and they see a slytherin struggling with their bags or something. And the shy huffepuff goes over and asks if they need help. And the slytherin is really shocked like “I’m in the evil house” “why would you want to help me?” And the hufflepuffs just like “you don’t seem evil to me. Here, ill carry your transfiguration and herbology books” and then they become the best of friends.

Yes, that’s been a lifelong problem of mine, and why it took me a long time to get out of some seriously shady situations.
