A thing I do with my eyes

socialjusticefeline:

Vision is a hard enough thing for me but like…

I get double vision a LOT. Not because of anything with my eyes themselves but it’s my inability to focus them. They wander or something. I’m not sure what happens. I don’t go cross-eyed that I know of, I just stare at something to the point that it doubles.

And there’s also the thing I do where I look at something but I just…can’t look at it. It strains me to look at it. Not because the image is unpleasing even, it’s another eye thing. It’s just weird.

I wonder if this is an autism or dyspraxia thing. I know I had trouble moving my eyes as a kid, until I was about 11. Even then, I didn’t do it much until recently, which is weird to think about. It took me about 20 years to begin moving my eyes about on a regular basis. I have tunnel vision.

This is a ramble but I mean…I don’t describe it well but do any of you experience this?

Have you looked into intermittent exotropia?  That’s what I have.

I’ve never heard of that (until now anyways). Appearance wise, it doesn’t look like it but I also don’t pay much...
