I read that as “looking out for you”

So in that spirit, my friends, know that I am a fell and terrible creature with jagged fangs and brutal claws, and I am out here waiting in the dark.

If someone is trying to make you feel stupid or weak or powerless they are wrong and I will eat them, and then I will twine my tail around your shoulders and hum you an off-key lullaby  until you feel better while I suck the last shreds of their liver off of my talons.

I have a good friend who I have heard many people say of her, “I wouldn’t want to meet her down a dark alley!”

My response is “I would!  Because I know she’d be there to protect me.”

She can be scary as shit when she wants to be, but she’s on my side.
