i’m so jealous of the work the down syndrome community is doing against prenatal testing. i mean, they have to do that work because prenatal testing is already available and eugenic abortion is rampant, but they’re so well-organized and have mobilized so many parent allies and their campaign is basically THE SHIT. i wish the ~autism community~ could get a similar campaign going before the practical eugenics even kicks in, but like, for now we’ve got ads about how our parents want to kill us

god the activists with down syndrome are all so fuckin badass tho. the parts of the autistic community that want to distance themselves from greater ID/DD rights are just plain st*pid because why would you throw away an alliance like that

(i guess part of the difference here is that people with down syndrome are stereotyped as innocent fluffy bunnies and we are stereotyped as cold emotionless empty shells. so clearly we need to work IN PAIRS. as crime-fighting teams. this would make a great movie)

Disabled eugenics/crime fighting duo film would be !!!!!
