I feel like I’m being fussy, but it really bothers me when people don’t understand how attraction works for me. Like they’ll assume that just because I’m trying to meet people for dates then I must be attracted to them.

But it’s more like… I’ve met people for dates to see if I could potentially become attracted to them.

It doesn’t bother me when people assume that in absence of evidence to the contrary, but it does when I keep trying to explain it and it seems like nothing I say makes it ‘click’ for them.
