I don’t want to center my experience or silence other perspectives. I just want to have words that accurately describe my experiences.

Repeating over again because I can’t repeat this enough.

When I describe my experiences, I am not saying they are more important than someone else’s experience.

I am, however, saying that my experiences matter as much as other people’s experiences.

But that’s different than saying that they matter more, or that I’m trying to ‘center’ them, or whatever.

  14. katisconfused said: maybe there could be “___sex” words the same way “intersex” is? then there are three not two and that would hopefully avoid the issues like with chromosomes because I think that covers everyone? but idk what to use instead of “male/female” there
