We kind of want to yell bullshit every time we come across a book about psychology with “case studies of patients” where the author intermittently admits that the “patients” aren’t real people but “composites of real patients I have run across in my professional career” or something.
If one of our ex-therapists ever pulled that, we’d kinda want to ask them “so what chunks did you pull out of us to make your ‘real case studies’?”
