as small as a world and as large as alone

I was born and raised in California.  I love the redwoods and wish more than anything that I could live out the entire rest of my life in the exact part of the forest I was born into.  I love the landscape, I love the places.  I can’t stand large parts of the culture of selfishness that are endemic to large parts of the state, the politics, the disability situation, or the environmental devastation, though.  And I got out in part to escape those things.
