spikyprofile asked: Do you think "intellectual disability" is actually a definable thing?

I don’t know and I don’t really care.  All I know is that intellectually disabled people are real, that they have extremely real disabilities, and that there are a lot of people in denial about that fact for all the wrong reasons.  Whether it’s “definable” or not isn’t the point.

(If I sound irritable it’s because the question forces me into a mode of thinking where I’m supposed to provide answers that I don’t have.  Not because you’ve done anything wrong.  But it’s highly irritating when questions do that, because I can’t answer that kind of question and I’m not even sure it’s the kind of question that I need to be answering in order to have an opinion on something.)
