 It's HOT!

Just got home and it’s like 89 degrees indoors. Bleah. Also just checked my blood pressure and it was 100/58 which is low-ish which would explain feeling gross. Swamp cooler is on and I am about to get some water to drink, so I don’t end up clinically dehydrated rather than…

I have extra problems with that, being diabetic and also going through a lot of electrolytes that way. One really good thing I’ve found is just to add like ¼ tsp. of Lo Salt (the potassium and sodium blend) to a drink. Half juice and half water is pretty good, if you also need the energy. A lot of the time now I will use some less sugary fruity drink instead. Tomato juice is also a good mixer, with a decent balance of electrolytes in it already, though you’d probably want some water too to stay well hydrated.

Or you can just wash it down with a drink if it tastes too weird for you mixed in. That tends to sting the back of my throat some for a minute, but I still do it sometimes if I’m getting muscle cramps.

The DIY Gatorade is more convenient for me, at least, besides cheaper. It’s easy enough to keep a container of Lo Salt and have any flavor of drink you want with it, instead of stocking up on a more limited range of Gatorade or similar.
