I got my first mail addressed to Amelia Baggs today!
It is a DNA sampling kit.
Because apparently my synesthesia (at least, the parts I was willing to subject to testing) passes the tests on the Synesthesia Battery well enough that they want a sample of my DNA to use to look for the genetics of synesthesia.
So now I have to use a DNA sampling kit. Never used one before. Not worried, shouldn’t be hard to figure out. Just strange, very strange. I wonder whether they’ll tell me about my individual DNA, or if I’ll just learn the generic information when they publish their study.
