I don’t think that’s a good idea.

I don’t think our way of referring to people who aren’t like us should be an insult.

There’s nothing wrong with being neurotypical. The problem is hatefulness combined with power. I don’t think it serves us to confuse categories that way.

Thing is, I don’t think it makes sense to conceptualize neurotypicals as the enemy or oppressor.

Because - the issue is power and ableism, particularly cognitive ableism. Which people can have whether or not they are autistic, and whether or not they are neurodivergent.

The people in my life who most consistently get it and have my back mostly aren’t autistic. Most of them are disabled in other ways, but not all.

Similarly, some of the people who are the most cognitively ableist and damaging to me *are* autistic. 

If I thought NTs are bad and autistics are good, that would result in me trusting the wrong people.
