Anonymous asked: i am self-diagnosed with autism, but i haven't really gotten a second opinion from anyone. i do have an allistic friend with an autistic brother who says he can see it, but that's not really much of a second opinion. do you think it would be okay for me to post in the ActuallyAutistic tag asking for someone confident in their diagnosis to look at some of the stuff i've written down and give their opinion?

I’m not sure anyone’s qualified exactly, but I’m sure that if you post in the tag, there would be a lot of people (I hope!) willing to discuss it with you and help you come to your own conclusions.  If anyone gives you a hard time, just remember, you’re okay, they’re mean, and it’s none of their effing business whether and how you self-diagnose.
