when Julia Bascom implied in ‘someone who moves like you’ that because Sherlock was good at functioning, he wasn’t autistic, that was aspie supremacism.*
sorry.
* or not. the opposite? I don’t know. I know it’s fucked up to assume someone’s functioning level. I know Sherlock didn’t fnction correctly and that was a major thingin seasons 1 and 2.
I know that I don’t like the whole ‘autism looks like THIS and nothing else’ thing. I know that i’m, like, a heretic, for being uncomfortable with a Popular Activist, but there it is.
Don’t ever feel like a heretic for being uncomfortable with a Popular Activist.
I need to write a post about this later.
But heresy is what makes the world go round.
Ironically I’m a Popular Activist because I’ve always been willing to be a heretic, but that’s another story.
