A reminder from your friendly (I hope) neighborhood Hufflepuff.

Every time your words go out over the Internet to someone else’s screen, there is a human being behind that screen.

You don’t know what kind of a day they’re having.

They may have just lost their job.

They may have just lost a pet.

They may be losing a parent.

They may be wondering where their next electric bill is coming from.

They may be homeless and trying to feed a family.

They may not be telling you any of this, because a lot of people are very private about their problems.  Not everyone tells you everything they’re going through.

Try to make sure that, whatever you write, it won’t make their day any worse.
