This is chilling when you consider that some people are actually *incapable* of using the singular they, or of making all kinds of other language choices other people say this about.

For some people, it really is a choice between using problematic or archaic language, and not saying anything. at all. to anyone.

I’d rather people say bad words that lose the ability to communicate.

I don’t think the person I reblogged this from meant it literally. But a lot of people seem to, and that scares me.

Agreed.  It does scare me when people actually mean that.  Because there are people who do.
