Yes I know what you mean about these being these boxes that people try to put things in.  I think most people calling themselves conservatives would be horrified by my calling myself conservative and traditional, because the traditional values I am going from are definitely not the same as what the USA has built up as “What Conservative And Traditional Values Mean”.  But they’re still conservative and traditional and sometimes I feel like taking those words back from people who’ve hijacked them for their own uses.
