➸ New D&D Edition Verbally Embraces Non-Binary Genders

1) YES EXPLICIT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT! And it’s written in a way that fits with the normal phrasing in the rule books, which is nice in my view as someone who has played since childhood. (2nd ed is what I grew up playing.)

2) EEEEEEEEEEEEEE NEW EDITION OF D&D!!!!! I’m curious about what we’ll be dealing with changes wise. I know the last ed was … uncomfortable for a lot of older players. 

It was from a MUD (MUDs bear some resemblance to D&D or MMORPGs, they’re just all text-based) that I learned the nonbinary pronouns that I have now chosen as my preferred pronouns.  There were four genders allowed on the MUD I played:  Male, Female, Neuter, and Hermaphrodite.  Which, despite the unfortunate wording… I played a lot of “hermaphrodite” characters so that my pronouns would be sie and hir.  Which in retrospect should’ve been a clue, but I didn’t notice, I just really felt like those pronouns fit me in a way that he or she or it didn’t.
