Black In Latin America
Is a show I’m really getting into on Netflix right now. I’ve only gotten two episodes in but so far I’m completely riveted, it’s about black cultures in Latin America and their history and their role in history, and continuing racism, and a lot of other things. The host is a black man from the USA who travels and interviews people from local historians to ordinary people on the street. I was surprised to see someone talking so openly about some of these things on a show on Netflix. I don’t know enough about the subject matter to know how watered-down it is, but it’s more than I’ve ever been taught.
