"You don’t look autistic"

autisticpoetry:

I don’t seem autistic

because when you can talk

you’re not disabled

so you’re just being perverse

when you take things too literally

and finish long after your classmates

because you want it to all be perfect

because when you stim 

you’re just being fidgety

or easily distracted

or maybe you’re just bored

so I learned how not to be autistic

or how to pretend

and now I want it back
