I know there are a trillion campaigns like this circulating tumblr right now, but if you could throw a few dollars my way I’d be very grateful. My name is Meda, I’m an autistic woman and college student living in Colorado, and I need to move the fuck out of my parents’ house.

I have been applying for jobs like mad and will hopefully have one soon. I will also earn $300 from catsitting next week. I need your help to raise sufficient funds for a deposit and first month’s rent on a room, before classes start in mid-August. I cannot function here. It’s hard for me to feed myself, and my parents do not stock accessible food in the house and judge me for eating anything ‘unhealthy’ that is available. The environment is toxic and renders me unable to do important tasks.

I assure you your donations will not go to waste — I can’t do things without money and independence. I am a disability rights activist and I plan to start a chapter of ASAN here. I am doing other volunteer work for ASAN. I also am writing a sci-fi project, Channel Fever, and will be able to write more once I get my bearings.

I promise that once my situation is more stable, I will give back to you all in whatever way is possible. INVEST IN MY FUTURE YOLO
