This is the second afghan that I ever started, but the third that I have finished. Because I made the one for Anne in between. I like to think of this one as my Hufflepuff afghan. It’s brown and yellow. Every square is the same stitch pattern, but I varied the colors so that many of the squares look very different from each other. I wanted to have an afghan that was rectangular, for myself, since my other afghan for myself is very irregular shaped due to being made out of hexagons.
I am not as happy with how this turned out as I am with Anne’s afghan. But I’m still pretty ecstatic about it – Anne’s afghan was truly exceptional. This one is still very exciting to have completed, to use it in bed, to wrap it around myself, because it’s big enough I can completely wrap up in it. I’m extremely happy with it even if it’s not as good as the last one I made. And Fey is already curled up on it at my feet.
