Are we still having the “stupid is ableist” conversation? Unbelievable.
It is possible to dislike a word without claiming that said word somehow embodies all oppressions and problems in the world. FFS.
This claim endows entirely too much power to language in general and English in particular. Believe it or not, English speakers don’t have a monopoly on oppression.
